I’m happy to be taking part in the Blog Tour for Daisy Bala in promoting her bouquet of poetry.
“If you truly love Nature, you will find Beauty everywhere.”
– Vincent Van Gogh
Thus begins Blossoms and Foliages – a book of poetry, by Daisy Bala, full of visual treats of Nature in its best.
This book is the poet’s maiden attempt in the book-writing sojourn and in her words, she found it an ‘ethereal one.’
The book is a collection of 40 poems which revolve around the kaleidoscope of seasons and takes the reader through all the beauty and magic that nature has to offer.
The titles of the poems entice one to peep in and take a deeper look – Watching the daisies grow, Cherry Blossom – Belle of the Season, When it rains it reigns, It’s my kinda pink….. and more.
I’m giving you a sneak peak into a couple of her poems!
I heard the fault lies in the stars
So I decided to chase the moon instead
The brightest thing on the midnight canvas
the moon showed me his glistening side up
hiding his grey shades, treacherous he ………..
The flirtatious bumblebee
buzzing around the beguiling beauty!
Bud blushing, breaks into a cold sweat
dew drops resurface!
after poising for seconds, it slips on the
velvety soft petals
swirling down at the edges of leaves……….
I’m sure this brief look tempts you to check out the whole book.
