Radhika's Diaries

Looking for a humor blog? You've come to the right place!

I may behave quite strange at times.
You might think maybe I’m losing it.
So, I thought I’ll explain my point of view
with some humor and some wit.

So why did I stop in the middle of the street?
To avoid a speeding car or truck?
No…a black cat crossed in front of me.
So doesn’t that mean bad luck?

I came out of the house and stopped at the door,
my neighbor asked me, “Is everything fine?”
No it’s not, because someone sneezed right then.
And that’s definitely not a good sign.

I told everyone there’s good luck for me.
My eye has an ongoing twitch..
Wait, is the right eye lucky or is it the left?
Oh dear, I always forget which.

My husband and I bent to pick up a spoon,
I banged my head against his head.
“Forget the pain, bang your heads again,
to avoid bad luck,” everyone said!

There’s a big fat lizard right up on the wall,
my son has been eyeing it with dread.
I said, “Chill son, it’s no big deal,
it’s good luck if it falls on your head.

I gave the salt in my husband’s hand,
Uh oh, I should have kept it instead on the tray.
The rule book says: “We’re surely going to fight
before the end of the day!”

There’s so much left over rice and dal,
Last night I was expecting a guest.
no one actually said they were coming,
there was a crow cawing all day on my window rest.

Superstitions or old wives’ tales!
I’ve been following them since childhood.
It may be providence or pure coincidence,
they do work for me sometimes, TOUCHWOOD! 🙂
