X – XyZ123aBc!

JayPrakash Uncle was in the middle of an Office meeting one morning when his mobile rang. It was The Aunt on the other end.

“What’s the password for my email id?” she asked without a Hello or a Hi.

“How should I know the password for your mail id?” asked The Uncle.

“Because I told you the password so that you would remember it for me.” said The Aunt. “You know I’m bad at remembering things like that.”

“How silly! What do you mean you can’t remember ….?”

“Well” said The Aunt defiantly. “I seem to have collected so many passwords these days. Seriously!! I can’t possibly be expected to remember all of them along with having to remember where you kept your socks and car keys!”

“Well.” said the Uncle in an irritable tone, ignoring the last bit. “I don’t know any of your passwords. I certainly don’t remember you telling me. Now get off the phone. I’m in the middle of a meeting!”

The Aunt sighed and disconnected.

Half an hour later.

JP Uncle’s phone rang. It was The Aunt again.

“What’s the secret question?”

There was a puzzled silence from The Uncle’s end. After a few moments he asked, “What secret question?”

“You know…… the secret question which is Plan B in case we forget the password!!!”

“Oh the security question!!! You forgot that also?” asked The Uncle.

“Yesss!!!” wailed The Aunt. “I forgot the secret question and I forgot the secret answer.”

The Uncle was silent for a moment. The Aunt’s voice sounded pretty tearful so he said helpfully, “Let’s see now….. What could your secret question be??? Knowing you women it could be anything!! Where do we start….?”

The Uncle thought long and hard. “What is my favourite color?”

“No. I don’t think it’s that.”

“When is my wedding anniversary?”

“Don’t be silly!”

“Who is my favorite actor?”

“Tchah!!! Never mind.” said The Aunt finally. “I’ll work it out.” She disconnected.

Still later in the morning.

The Uncle’s mobile. The Aunt again.

“Do you know where my diary is?”

“What Diary?”

“My little black Diary! The one where I’ve written the passwords to all my accounts.”

A shocked silence at The Uncle’s end.

“You’ve written down all your passwords? In black and white!?”

The Aunt was faintly puzzled now. “Why would I write them down in color???”

“Tsk tsk.” said The Uncle. “That’s not what I …….”

“Never mind all that.” interrupted The Aunt. “The point is I knew something like this would happen. So I wrote down all my passwords (in Black and White!) in a small Diary. Now I don’t remember where I’ve kept it.”

“No surprise there!!!” muttered The Uncle. Aloud he said, “I’m sorry I don’t know anything about any Black and White ….. I mean Black diary.”

The Aunt groaned.

The Uncle suggested, “Why don’t you just reset your password?”

“I guess I’ll do that.” sighed The Aunt and disconnected.

Later in the evening.

The Uncle returned home from the office and went in search of his wife. She was in the kitchen.

“Did you manage to reset your password?” he asked.

“Oh yes.” she replied cheerfully. “But really! What fussy people over at the Admin. They insisted that it should be more than six letters with a mixture of Upper case and Lower case and numericals and whatnot before it was certified as a ‘Strong’ password!!”

“But you did it!! Good. Good.” said The Uncle in an appreciative tone. “You’re learning! Now don’t go and forget the new password!”

“I couldn’t possibly do that.” said The Aunt. “It’s going to be there in front of me all the time.”

“Why? Where have you written it down this time?” asked The Uncle suspiciously.

The Aunt indicated the refrigerator. The Uncle turned and looked at it. There on the door stuck with a fridge magnet fluttered a piece of paper.

Written on it : “My password – XyZ123aBc!Β

Hahaha…Very genuine one. It’s really a nightmare nowadays to remember these passwords. I too am a victim of this and my son really gets annoyed at this.
